The DD Project is different.
Our goal is simple, to create world class wine with purpose. That purpose is to make the world a better place and to drink delicious wine while we do it. All proceeds from The DD Project go to benefit female entrepreneurial and educational initiatives in the state of Delaware and beyond.
Created in loving memory of the founders mother, Diane Rizzo (Dickerson) co-founder of the Capriotti’s Sandwich Franchise, whose trailblazing entrepreneurial spirit is the North Star for all we do.
It is a mission to not let the light die that inspired this project. On November 21, 2019 the world lost a very special person, my mother, Diane Rizzo (Dickerson). Mom was not only a wonderful mother, amazing cook, and friend to all, she was a trailblazing entrepreneur who helped create one of Delaware (and America’s) most storied food franchises.
